> Osmosis Treatment
Osmosis is a phenomenon that can affect composite hulls over time. The treatment consists of eliminating contaminated areas and restoring the structural integrity of the hull.
The intervention generally includes:
gelcoat and altered layer planing
complete drying of the hull
extraction of saline acids
application of a re-impregnation resin
reworking of shapes and finishes
application of an epoxy primer and suitable antifouling
This process durably restores the composite structure and preserves the boat’s value.
