On July 27th, the J\/99 Axe Sail duo, composed of Maxime Mesnil and Hugo Feydit, <\/span>achieved 2nd place in this legendary race in the IRC2 category, after dominating the race <\/span>for <\/span>the first 3 days, including in the IRC double-handed category.<\/span><\/div>
<\/span><\/div>

This demanding race tested their talent, determination, and mental strength as sailors and competitors above all. Maxime and Hugo made intelligent strategic choices to complete the race successfully. Despite the challenges of 3 depressions, the material assessment was more than satisfactory with only the following damage to report: the breakage of the J3 forced batten and the mainsail foot. <\/p>
